An argument for the need for more troops.

The nature of this blob is to argue for more military readiness. In addition to more special forces and high tech weaponry. I believe that there are scenarios in fighting our enemies that may require more troops than is conventionally thought.

I am arguing not for less special forces and high tech weapons. I believe we need more. I cant wait for the types of weapons on the drawing board that will lessen the exposure of our troops to IED's etc. The types of weapons that can robotically ferret out the terrorist in urban settings. Those are on the drawing board and being though of by Honeywell etc.. They are coming. However most wars I can think of as they progressed used more troops not less and as scenarios changed. Isreal is seeing that air power is not winning it alone.(not that they thought it would). We have more troops going to Baghdad. What if we had enough troops to seal the borders between syria and Iraq-Iran etc...I only arguing that as things progress, they progress quickly compared to the ability to raise more troops in todays tech training environment. I hope Im incorrect. It will be one thing I pray I am not correct about in my life..I was amazed at how our government bureacracy worked pre 9-11. And witnessing the mess that is Homeland security(wasting of money on pda's apple computers etc. to the tune of 125-225 milllion) IM still not sleeping well.
